Frequently Asked Questions
What is the time commitment for services?
During my experience as a therapist, I noticed the best results for clients came with an intentional treatment plan and a commitment to work intensively and on purpose for a discrete time period. Your outcomes matter to me and as your guide I want to work in a way that honors our biology and what it really takes to get unstuck and create new behaviors. A commitment of 6 months of sessions for individual and couples therapy is a helpful time frame to keep in mind. If someone has a more complex history, multiple goals or issues, or difficulty being consistent the time can lengthen. Please note: Discernment Counseling is a brief intervention and structured differently. It lasts between 1-5 sessions and scheduled initially for 2 hours and 90 min for follow ups.
What are the fees for therapy?
Individual therapy $250 per 50 min session or $450 per 90 min session
Couples Therapy $250 per 50 min session or $450 per 90 min session
Discernment Counseling $600 for initial two hour session and $450 for 90 min follow up session

I also offer home-based sessions for some parts of Middle TN including Nashville and surrounding areas.
How does online therapy work?
Online therapy works similarly to traditional therapy but is conducted through digital platforms such as video calls or phone calls. Before your session, you'll receive instructions on how to access my client portal for paperless client intake forms and to join the session. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space for your session. Bring any comforts you desire such as a cup of tea, a pet, and a cozy place to sit. No commute before or after means more more time to integrate the value of the session.
Do you take insurance?
I am a private-pay therapist and am not in-network with any insurance companies.
While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for portion of the session cost. This is only available for clients seeking individual therapy that meet criteria for medical necessity (an insurance requirement that must be met to be eligible for reimbursement)
Optional: Verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your potential reimbursement by visiting this link.
