True Healing Starts in the Nervous System.
Targeting sensory sensitivity, chronic dysregulation, and relationship strain at the root — where lasting change begins.
Tired of Feeling Like You’re Always “On Edge” or “Too Much”?
Maybe it looks something like this:
You wake up already unsettled — even when nothing obvious is wrong.
Certain sounds are so grating, you've had to leave events just to escape the overwhelm. Sometimes, even being around friends or family feels like too much.
Socializing feels more like performing than connecting.
Your digestion is off. Headaches show up out of nowhere. The tension in your body refuses to release — no matter how much stretching, resting, or effort you put in.
Falling asleep is hit or miss. And when you finally have a moment to slow down, your body can’t follow — sometimes you even feel more anxious during times meant for rest or pleasure.
Polyvagal Theory Gave Us The Roadmap to Understand the Nervous System.
The Safe and Sound and Rest & Restore Protocols Offer the Path to Heal.
Nervous System Regulation & Sensory Shifts
These are the core physiological changes that support emotional and relational healing:
More access to calm, grounded presence
Shifts in how we take in and process sensory input from the environment
Increased ability to notice and tolerate difficult sensations
Emotional & Behavioral Flexibility
As the system regulates, longstanding emotional and behavioral patterns may begin to shift:
Unblending from protective parts and increased connection to vulnerable/wounded parts
Greater capacity to be with emotions rather than avoid or react to them
Access to more intentional, preferred behavioral responses
Relational & Existential Connection
Healing opens the door to deeper presence and connection with others and with life itself:
A desire for more meaningful connection—with others and with life
Greater openness in relationships as defense patterns soften
SSP and RRP have a way of gently surfacing what’s ready to be reviewed and released.
Imagine if you…
Had a relaxing and gentle way of working through trauma that didn’t require painful reliving of experiences
Could choose your ideal healing place either in the office, in nature, or in the comfort of your home.
Had an improved response to stress. Your nervous system capacity gradually increased.
Saw noticeable shifts in your sleep patterns, digestion, and ability to recover.
Shifted into a state where you are more comfortable and at ease engaging with others, leading to deeper and more meaningful relationships.

Common questions about the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP)
-
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP): a therapeutic auditory intervention developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, designed to support regulation and a felt sense of safety through specially filtered music.
The Safe and Sound Protocol, includes filtered music which initially omits the sound cues that the nervous system typically associates with danger.
In a carefully designed algorithm, the body is slowly challenged throughout the 5 hours as the music adds back in a wider range of frequencies. This process is research backed to help create a felt sense of safety and calm. o As the body begins to downshift from hypervigilance, clients may naturally become more open to connection, attunement, and co-regulation with others. The combination of these specific sound frequencies and the presence of a supportive provider and community lay the groundwork for helping the body shift foundational patterns in the physiology.

About Rest and Restore Protocol™
Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and Anthony Gorry, Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP) is an innovative, clinical-grade listening therapy designed to help calm and restore mental and physical functioning.
RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and in the gut, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology. This scientifically engineered acoustic signal and music support deep relaxation and optimal recovery for clients.
-
The SSP contains several vocal and non-vocal music playlists so you can customize your experience. Take a peek at this link to see the samples of each playlist to get ready to choose your preference.
The RRP currently has one option of instrumental music utilizing cutting edge technology: Sonocea® is an innovative, patent-pending sonic augmentation technology that uses acoustic parameters that go beyond traditional sound design, integrating the scientific knowledge of endogenous biological rhythms with the nervous system’s potential to be entrained through rhythmic stimulation.
-
The SSP or RRP works alongside other therapies. It can also be combined with and is supportive of other therapies, including:
Neurodevelopmental treatment, such as occupational therapy, play therapy and sensory integration therapy
Other forms of mental health and trauma therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing® (SE™), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other forms of talk therapy (e.g. DBT, MCBT, etc.)
-
Program Includes:
One full year of support starting from the date of the initial intake.
One 90 min Preparation session at the start of the SSP process which is an Intake session to review assessments and explore co-listening.
Secure platform for check-ins, Monday - Friday
One round of SSP Core or RRP (additional rounds require a 50 min appointment for evaluation and re-assessment)
Access to the Unyte app and the SSP or RRP for up to one year to allow for a titration schedule that fits your unique nervous system needs.
For those completing SSP: Access to SSP Balance for maintenance if desired. (Access will end at the 12 month period but can be renewed for an additional cost)
Additional integration sessions, if desired, are $250 for 50 mins, $125 for 25 mins to process experience using SSP or RRP or for supported co-listening sessions
Includes consultation and communication with other providers (medical provider or current therapist)
